Google Photos: How to remove the geographic location from photo or video

Google Photos displays where photos and videos were captured. By default, this information is available to the people with whom you share the image, which would be inconvenient. Without realizing it, you may be disclosing where you've been exactly on a particular day and time.

One of the possible exits is to disable Google's location, but the procedure impacts the operation of other apps - Google Maps is an example. To avoid this inconvenience, the tip is to remove the location of each image or video before sharing. Step 1. Open Google Photos and enter the photo you want to share. Then click on the information button, identified with an "i".

Step 2. Verify that the map of the location where the image was captured is displayed in the "Approximate location" field. Click on the three points and select "Remove location".

Step 3. In the box that will open, touch "Remove" to confirm the operation. Verify that the location and map have been taken from the image.

Step 4. The procedure is the same for the videos. Enter the file, touch the info button, open the location menu and select "Remove location".
