How to post an excerpt from a long video in Instagram Stories

Instagram lets you post long videos in Stories, but when they exceed the social network timeout, the app automatically splits the video into parts of 15 seconds each. You can publish recorded movies right on the platform itself or saved to the mobile picture gallery.

Step 1. Open Instagram and access the Stories by the camera icon in the upper left corner of the screen. Once you open it, drag your finger on the display from the bottom up to access the files available in the gallery on your smartphone;

Step 2. Select the video you want to publish. If it is long, thumbnails will appear at the bottom of the screen, indicating the parts into which it was divided. Press your finger on the portion you do not want to post for a few seconds;

Step 3. A bin icon will appear on the screen. Tap on it to delete the corresponding part. If you want to remove other parts, just repeat the process. Once the deletion is complete, go to "Next" to complete the publication;
