How to put music in videos in Windows Story Remix

Windows Story Remix is the replacement for Movie Maker in Windows 10. The feature is integrated with the Photos application and among its many functions it is possible to create video of images with a background music. The user can use a free soundtrack from the gallery or choose a custom song, in MP3 format.

Story Remix is new video editor for Windows 10

Step 1. Open the Photos app and choose the "Create" option in the upper right corner of the screen. Then select "Custom Video with Music" from the menu that appears;

Step 2. Then select the photos from your computer that you want to add to the video. Confirm the action by clicking on "Create";

Step 3. Choose a name for your video and press "OK";

Step 4. Now choose the "Music" option in the upper right corner of the window;

Step 5. In the window that opens, the "Recommendations" tab contains the Story Remix music gallery. The play button to the left of the song title lets you listen to them before inserting one of them into the video. To include the track in the video, simply keep the item selected and click "Done";

Step 6. In the "Your songs" tab, you can use personalized music directly from your PC. You can download free YouTube soundtracks or songs from the Internet legally. To place a song of yours, choose "Select a music file";

Step 7. Your music folder will open. The MP3 file must be in this folder. Select the desired song and press "Open";

Step 8. Click "Done" to use the file you chose. Unfortunately, it is not possible to cut the song through Story Remix. If necessary, edit the audio by Audacity;

Step 9. To export videos and share on social networks, select the arrow icon in the upper right corner (indicated in the image below) and choose the desired format according to the purpose of the video you made;

Step 10. The file will be saved, by default, in your images folder. Finally, Story Remix gives the user the option to open it in Photos, locate it in Windows Explorer, or share it in other applications.
